Resources for Clinical Students

Meet with the Department: If you are intent on applying in dermatology, introduce yourself to the department if you haven't already done so. The support of your home department will be essential to your success as an applicant.

Do a Dermatology Clinical Rotation: Schedule a month-long elective rotation in dermatology to get the full experience. DERM 300A is the general dermatology clerkship and DERM 310B is the dermatology subinternship.

Do a Research Rotation: Schedule a month-long research rotation in dermatology if you are interested in doing some research before residency applications are due. DERM 305A is the research rotation in dermatology.

Work at the Dermatology Clinic at Arbor Free Clinic: Every month, Arbor Free Clinic has its Dermatology Clinic. Join us at Arbor to learn about dermatology physical exams and consultation from a resident or attending. Email Alex Zhu or Angela Guerrero if interested.
